•  An inventory that has catalogued 2,766 constructions in the four different areas studied. This has been done with the cooperation of the participating entities through the exchange of knowledge, different professionals, and students

•  A typological study of these buildings has been carried out using statistics and a later comparison with the other areas.

•  The diffusion of the study by means of daylong events based on popular architecture, a web page, and a touring exhibition with the results of the study.

•  An improved integration of the protection and assessment of the heritage within the local perspective for development has been achieved.

•  The set of elements that constitute popular architecture and its environment, as an integral part of cultural heritage has been brought to public attention with the aim of making society aware of the necessity to conserve these values. Information regarding the cultural heritage has been spread widely in these four areas and contacts have been made with other regions.

•  Project has contributed to foment the awareness of the value of common cultural heritage and encourage its conservation. This activity is a consequence of the interest for the conservation of cultural heritage in the rural landscapes, framed by the respect for the countryside, historic identity of the buildings and economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

•  The diffusion of information pertaining to popular architecture facilitates growth in cultural tourism, which enables the creation of cultural itineraries.

•  The creation and publication of programmes for the protection, rehabilitation, and revitalization of architectural heritage.

•  The encouragement of social interest to protect this patrimony in order to preserve the identity of the territory and the people who live there.

•  The benefit of cooperation on a European scale contributes to and encourages cultural dialogue and the exchange of knowledge between different cultures, which it would be extremely difficult to achieve otherwise.
